I heard that Genshin started working on Linux - without any special configuration and with nobody getting banned - relatively recently about 4 months ago, I am interested in installing it but its kernel level anti cheat is a privacy - and a security - concern for me, so the question is: How does Genshin’s anti-cheat work under WINE/Proton? does it work normally, or does it use some non-kernel-level fallback option, or does it just run without any form of anti-cheat.

You basically use a custom launcher that disables telemetry and has none of those kernel-level anti-cheat measures and then the game runs smoothly using Proton. This means that you’re breaking their TOS though and that at any moment Hoyoverse can ban you if they want. If that’s okay for you, google an anime game launcher.

I feel the same with trying Ousia/Pneuma vs whatever mobs on the map or domain honestly. The only time where I actually noticed it making a useful difference is the Coppelia/Coppelius boss fight. Idk if my characters are generally too strong for however much difference this mechanic is supposed to make however I’m actually happy about it currently not having a massive impact.
