It is criminal that on a service called #Lemmy there wasn’t a community for #Lemmings. Then I noticed a server called lemmings.world and, obviously, had to create said community on that server.
@lemmings@lemmings.world
I usually find searching for the URL and then searching for the community name works best on Lemmy. On Kbin searching for the address with the @ normally works first time - and clicking on the ! version ought to work too.
Let’s go!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pingus
Pingus is an open-source Lemmings clone that was made a while back, if anyone hasn’t played Lemmings and wants to try a free Lemmings-style game.
I couldnt join through Connect app and searching via the app didnt work either. I will try the links on a browser when im home!
Normally I find myself typing the URL in, sometimes that finds it straight away, other times I need to search again afterwards with just the basic community name. Adding new communities in Lemmy is not very intuitive!
Same
Oh my God I loved this game growing up. The diggers, builders, stoppers. I assume there were others.
This just jogged my memory and reminded me of Worms World Party too.
Omfg I spent so much time in this game when I was a kid. It’s amazing.
Also, check out their statues, it’s my go-to example of fantastic unobtrusive city sculptures.
All my links appear to have been rewritten there - if you need to copy/paste try these:
!lemmings@lemmings.world @lemmings@lemmings.world
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !lemmings@lemmings.world, !lemmings@lemmings.world
