Looks like they’re mostly continuing their stance announced earlier this year
Nissan raised its targets for EVs earlier this year, pledging to launch 19 new battery-electric models by 2030. It also said that by the 2026 fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, 98 percent of its sales in Europe would be electrified – fully electric cars and hybrids combined.
Nissan’s marketshare in Europe is around 2%. They aren’t exactly sacrificing a huge percent of sales by doing this even if a huge percent of people are simply not ready yet.
But it says something to everyone else.
