As the game is a live service that’s meant to simulate an actual war campaign, the player base is given orders to capture certain planets, unlocking more planets in the process.

This week we were given orders to capture a specific planet, Tibit, from the Automatron faction, but a not insignificant segment of players who engage against the Automatrons are playing to capture Malevalon Creek, the sight of the most brutal loss the player base has encountered (known as Robot Vietnam, which is funnier if you know the lore).

Malevalon Creek isnt even important to the campaign, it’s a symbolic target for the players, and it’s liberation is completely inconsequential towards the standing orders from the game developers.

This has resulted in infighting among the community, first at those who focus on Malevelon Creek, then towards those who chose to fight the Termanids who the player base seems to believe is well under control.

This is funny because the player base is turning on itself for no reason, larping as bitter war generals even tho they dont have any firm direction as to how to play.
