You have to admit, he really destroyed that strawman version of you though.
Yes, and if you don’t like that, there’s a lot of work to be done. Grab a shovel
Like the crime of not being paid enough to afford housing?
Thanks for the tip, I’m trying to be google-free, so I’m testing it out. A little too late for election season, oh well
Sometimes, the point of research is to experimentally prove things we suspect are true.
Big Wood And Metal Utensil Lobby is going hard, for sure
Yeah, it was really great that the US destroyed the Kingdom of Hawai’i. Nice.
Nobody appreciates a Kindergarten Cop joke around here I guess
Copyright 1968…determined or not, that cat must be long dead. That’s kind of a downer…
Odd coming from someone who is fucking retired.
I’d suspect he sacrificed work-life balance his whole career (yes, CEOs are known for golfing and vacations, but I bet they still think of work 24/7). So just like people complaining about student loan forgiveness, some people get so angry if they perceive someone might have an easier experience than they did.
I’m more of a sardines from the tin kinda fella.
I was always suspicious of male OB/GYN, it seems like an unusual specialty to choose for purely altruistic reasons.
Of course, algorithms! The answer was right there all along!
Northern Co has SO many good taquerias. Hope that truck on N College is still open, get an Al Pastor.
I think you’re getting downvotes because you’re projecting a narrative onto @Reyali and using quotes around non-quotes. They didn’t say they were “probably not right.”
I agree, everyone should be skeptical of information someone else is sharing, because we can’t assume intention. But what would motivate someone to say “I’m probably not right” anyway?
What’s interesting to me is that for you, your guard went up for someone admitting a potential of having missed something, which may make you more susceptible to people who are confidently wrong.
Most others’ reaction is the opposite, taking their statement as an attempt to be genuine and open to feedback. If someone invites feedback, is willing to admit they might be wrong, that’s a much better starting point for conversation.
Yep, that’s what the linked articles’ conclusion was. But 80dB vs 120dB is a huge difference, jackhammer compared to a dishwasher. Anyway, I’m out of my depth, I shot a bow last 30 years ago. And never as a stealthy assassin nor archery-based superhero.
According to un-sourced Archery Heaven, regular crossbows are as loud as a lawnmower, nevermind repeating. Not quite the stealth you might be looking for.
“Is a made up, puritanical concept to exploit labor and drive economy”
What you say is true, but also ignores the alt-right pipelining that YouTube and others are seemingly complicit in, or at the very least is the result of perverse incentives.
And I’ll say the exact same thing about TikTok. It’s serving as primary sources for many problems around the world, it’s giving more broad and informed, collegiate level discussions of the world, and it’s full of brainrotting limbic hijacking. All true and I don’t think any generation is fully equipped to deal it.
We can also see historically that banning a “vice” has never effectively removed the vice from society.
