We messed around for days on it back then. We couldn’t believe how responsive it was. Basically nothing compared to LLM today but still lol. I wonder if this kind of interactive narrative can be made with a LLM.
Facade was the first thing I thought of when I heard “chatgpt in games” lol
The thing is, what makes Facade so beautiful and so fascinating is that it’s not AI generated gibberish. All of the little responses they give you, all of the complicated different routes the conversation can take, all of the little secrets and puzzles, are all very deliberately designed, written, and voice acted. And it’s awkward and clunky and weird but it’s also unique and full of soul. It’s a work of art, the likes of which LLMs will never be able to create.
Jesus christ I was not aware people talked about this game. I played it circa 2005/2006 and was astounded by it. Ahead of its time imo.
I did not know people knew about this lmao
It’s a very funny and unpredictable game so a lot of people have done streams and lets plays of it over the years
