That’s rough. Does he use the internet a lot? I don’t talk to my parents anymore, but my dad really started going downhill when he became terminally online and just constantly rotted his brain with right wing propaganda.
My dad started using FB in the last 6 months and my sister was telling me the other day that he’s now ranting about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce being huge Brandon supporters and that they recruited 40,000 voters for him. He doesn’t really talk politics with me because I usually back him into an ideological corner until he tips over the metaphorical game board and starts talking about needing to appreciate that at least we’re not the ones being carpet bombed and look how nice the weather is today. Granted this could all be coming from Fox news too.
I feel like these older generations that didn’t have the internet when they were younger have absolutely no idea when to turn this shit off and do literally anything else.
My dad has always consumed shitty stuff like Fox, conservative talk radio, or Drudge Report, but when 2020 hit he had literally nothing to do but be on the internet and it totally broke him.
My father is currently Gaylor-pilled. He doesn’t have a problem with it if it is true, he’s just pretty much of the opinion that any widely covered celebrity athlete relationship is probably a beard for one or both parties.
I think it’s his co-workers feeding him fash propaganda. He’s always been racist but getting into eugenics is outside his wheelhouse. He doesn’t have the internet so that’s what makes me think he might work with chuds.
