I remember Joe Biden being accused of rape and the woman who did it basically being hushed down. I haven’t seen a single person mention it (recently). Given his age, status, and political beliefs, it seems pretty much guaranteed to be at least somewhat true. How did I forget about this?

This is something all leftists need to learn at some point: Liberals don’t have any real beliefs or principles they live by. They’re reactionaries at heart, any “progressivism” is tenuous at best. Being progressive and being a Liberal is a contradiction. Thats why we see breif periods of “progressive” times followed by the worst reactionary periods. Capitalism is only “progressive” in relation to what it was replacing, not actually progressive as we understand the word.
There is something of an art to discerning a liberal at heart to someone who is passively lib just by virtue of existing in this society (which we all are, to some extent)

To be clear, seeing all the libs turn around and attack Tara Reade using literally the exact same rhetoric Republcians attacked Christine Blasey Ford was the thing that made me go from being annoyed at libs to actively despising them

My radicalization went from “We can probably convert most of them with a cogent argument” to “Camps, all of you, ten-thousand lessons, no trial”
Same, there were other breaking points for sure but this was a big one
