    Of course! They hate the military except when they use us to go to war. If there’s one thing republicans love, it’s war.

    Without knowing the specifics, it is entirely possible that it was his time to ETS, (Estimated Time of Separation), from the National Guard. If that is the case he still did the best he could preparing his unit even though he knew he wasn’t going to be deployed. This is a non story that desperate republicans are trying to fabricate. And really, do we need to talk about Bone Spurs Don? The fucker got a podiatrist in Jamaica, Queens to write him a phony excuse. Fucking weirdos the whole lot of them.

    Edit: Walz got an honorable discharge. If JD “Couch fucking” Vance or Don “Bone Spurs” Trump had served in the military he would know what an honorable discharge means.

      My last deployment, our Chief was nearing his ETS as well, and didn’t join us either. And guess what, we were fine. Not all units are combat roles, and personnel cam be swapped. Nature of the damn job.

      Remember when John Kerry ran against George Bush? Bush was in the air national guard during VietNam. Kerry was a Swit boat captain who was wounded in action and received a purple heart. Republicans with Rove put an all out effort into diminishing Kerry’s service. There’s a political term for it.
