I feel this so much these days. Like motherfucker why couldn’t you just be cool? Better to be silent than open your mouth and be known for a fool. I don’t look at celebrity news anymore because I’m running low on artists from my childhood.
I don’t even know what half my favourite music artists look like for this reason.

Fun fact: the miku twitter account that made the original “shut up transphobe, i made Minecraft” joke that inspired this also made a tweet saying that you cant actually seperate Rowling’s bigotry from the actual work like you can with Minecraft. Basically saying “Miku made x” isnt an excuse to engage in a work uncritically.
Now, as a Death of the Author guy with some remaining affection for HP from childhood, i do still find “Miku wrote Harry Potter” enjoyable. But i thought it was important to note.
