JD Vance graduated from Yale Law School in 2013. On Sunday, a photo of him in drag while attending the law school surfaced. The photo was initially shared by activist Matt Bernstein on social media. After the photo went viral, Travis Whitfill, an Assistant Professor Adjunct in Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine, claimed he was the source of the photo., US News News - Times Now
Yes I am. Even if you are bullying and making fun of me. I’m proudly voting Green. And I even started the Green Party community here on Lemmy.

That’s very edgy of you! I mean, now I will totally change my mind, because you tried to make a meme! Perfect plan! Good job! So who should I vote for? I mean, that’s what you want, right? You want to bully people into voting for your candidate.
And since BOTH parties do that, I’m unsure which party you’re with.
And yeah, I’m happy I started a Green Party community. At least I’m being the change i wanna see. I’m contributing. You…well you’re trying to be a bully.
Keep bullying. And I’ll keep voting for who I want to vote for.
oh damn this should get posted to the politics meme sub !politicalmemes@lemmy.world
shall you or should I?
Yep. Woah! And I’m doing it even tho you are trying to bully me and make fun of me. :)
Still enjoying being a bully I see. Good on ya, mate!
You’re not being bullied, you’re being ridiculed, big difference.
So ridiculing someone over and over, for they vote for isn’t bullying?!
Actually, it is. It is bullying. Would you want your kid in school to be ridiculed over and over all day? Wouldn’t u call the kids doing that, bullies? Yes, you would.
A child making dumb decisions is to be expected. as you are old enough to vote, you don’t have that excuse.
And I’m not making a “dumb” decision. I am voting for who I want to vote for.
You’re just upset because it’s not YOUR candidate. Welcome to democracy.
Yikes to all. You’re voting for trump with extra steps
Nope. If I wanted to vote for Trump, I’d vote for Trump. No extra steps needed.
I’m voting for the party I believe in. And it’s the Green Party.
If your party is so afraid of losing, just because there are third parties, then they should get stronger candidates. Welcome to democracy. I get to vote for who I want. As is my right.
I feel sorry that a vote for a 3rd party (in the US) may lead to the opposition winning and people that vote that way are derided.
We have Mixed Member Proportional here in NZ and it may not be the best voting system but I think it beats First Past the Post. I also feel the voting for a president / legistave is a bit broken.

You have had several other comments accusing me of this be removed.
The reason your comments are being removed is because you are pushing a false narrative about me, and you are being uncivil.
You are having your comments removed because you are doing that.
And I am reporting you for this one as well.
Please remain civil, and don’t falsely accuse me of anything. Thank you.
Yes, I too feel that the way I am being derided just because I am voting for who I believe in, is like this.
People have been bullying me for several days. All because I am voting for the Green Party because I belive in them.
Are you really trying to tell Lemmy that you are so delusional that you think there’s even the tiniest of a shred of a chance of a third party victory? If your candidate got 5% of the vote it would be shocking and you know it.
Third parties are an absolute joke in the US in every case in recent US history. And that is because no serious individual would ever run for president in a scenario where they know without doubt that it’s impossible for them to win. They may all only exist at this point to divert votes away from whomever they hate most.
I didn’t talk about her odds at all. Should we ONLY vote for people who have a good chance to win? I’m voting for who I believe in. Accept it or not. LIke it or not. I’m still voting for her.
Then you have nothing to be afraid of, and no reason to get mad about other. She doesns’t matter, right? So why so mad if I vote for her?

I absolutely and unequivocally disagree with you. I am voting for who I want to vote for. That’s my right as an American citizen. It’s a democracy.
And what “bad ideas” have I “spread?” I have simply said that I believe in the Green Party and am voting for Jill Stein.
I have not tried to talk anyone into anything.
So if you “don’t give a shit” who I vote for, then you shouldn’t be so annoyed that I am voting green party.
I mean, as you implied, it doesn’t matter to you anyway, right?
People don’t care who you’re voting for, they care about you constantly proclaiming who you’re voting for. Let me explain. Silently voting third-party because you feel disillusioned and disenfranchised is one thing. It might be a wasted vote under the FPTP system, but it’s your right.
Posting everywhere about who you’re voting for - including spreading positive reinforcement about the Green Party - is not exercising your right to vote; it’s activism. There is nothing wrong with it on its own of course, but the key motivation behind activism is driving others to vote for your cause.
At this point you’re not just exercising your personal right to participate in the democracy, you’re actively driving opinion and influencing (or attempting to) other voters. If you had no interest in doing this, you would just silently vote for Jill Stein. Hell, by your own admission you started the Green Party community here on Lemmy.
The thing people are getting upset at are third-party activists - particularly in a precarious election such as this. No matter how much you might want party-list proportional representation, the fact of the matter is you currently exist within the limits of FPTP. And within that system, third-party activism dilutes the vote, which is what people are upset at - especially given the stakes.
And I am ONLY proclaiming it when they start yelling at me. Take a look and the threads of people yelling at me.
On Lemmy? The biggest democrat echo chamber outside of Reddit. I can give my opinion. And you can ignore it. I’m not “influencing” anyone.
Then get a stronger candidate. I’m voting for who I want to because I want to. Regardless of how much Lemmy gets mad and tries to bully me. :)
Yeah, it’s my “right” to watch a person die of heart attack and not dial 911 also, but I’m not a huge asshole so I won’t be needing that “right”
So I’m an asshole because I am voting for someone you don’t like?! Ok…
Please remember our civility rule in this sub.
Please remember that your influence on the vulnerable matters. Voting in a way that is against immigrants, poor, transgender, etc is included in that. Yes, voting any way but against Trump is that.
And I do care about the vulnerable. Which is why I am voting for the Green Party.
No, it’s not. I don’t vote “against” people, I vote “for” people. As is my right as an American citizen.
I’m voting Green Party. Please stop trying to bully me.
No one is bullying you, stop lying about that and everything else
I am being bullied. Look at the things that are being said to me.
And what should I “stop lying” about? I haven’t lied about anything. What do you think I am lying about? Please keep the comments civil.
Your party is a Russian op to siphon votes from Democrats.
Jill Stein is a Putin lackey (not to mention a fucking idiot).
Absolute bullshit. Go back to reddit.
Remember civility rule for this sub.
You have to play to the rules as they are written, not as you want them to be.
Any vote for a third party in a US presidential election is a vote against your preferred major candidate . It’s really really simple.
It’s a very sad indictment of how broken their electoral system is but reality is what it is.
I’m still voting Chase Oliver, unlike a certain somebody he’s spoken out against genocide. I refuse in good consciousness vote for somebody who is willing to fund a genocide unless pressured enough.
No. Not I don’t. Be the change you wanna see. I’m voting Green Party, because I want to, I believe in them, and it’s my right as an American citizen.
Nope, my vote for Stein, is a vote for Jill Stein. Accept it.
You signed up three days ago. The community isn’t one until it’s active. But hey, keep up the good work, “woke-free” champion.
Yes, I did. Is there supposed to be a waiting period before we can start posting and creating communities? How long did YOU wait after you signed up, before you started posting?
Because I started posting right when I signed up. And I created communities I was interested in. Also, I only created the Green Party because so many Lemmy’s yelled at me, and stated incorrect information because I posted a Green Party article to this sub.
So actually you all inspired it! isn’t that awesome!
Not true. They are called “community” in Lemmy speak. Just like creating a subreddit in Reddit. They are created when…you create one. And I sure am getting plenty of downvotes in the communities, for them not being “active.” Hmmm…
And if you don’t think my communities count because they haven’t reached whatever number you think is appropriate, then you have nothing to be worried about. Right?
I mean, after all, I am just a guy, posting to my inactive communities. So seems like I should be of least concern to you. Right?
Thank you! I will. Because I refuse to let people bully me just because I have different views than they do. So I plan to continue posting.
And I’m still voting for 3rd party. And because of all the moaning and stalker messages I have been getting from you guys, I decided to really up my local volunteer efforts for the party, donated to both Stein’s campaign and the Green Party general fund and bought a shirt. So thank you, again! :)
What’s the community name?
Green Party. You can see it my profile.
I’m not sure if we are allowed to link to other communities here, but since you asked: https://lemmy.world/c/GreenParty
Thanks.
Looks like the sub is being heavily brigaded by the major parties, but that’s okay. Let them cope with how miserable their parties are.
Let yourself be happy supporting a party you can actually feel good about.
Be on the right side of history.
Brigaded from… Where? Because people don’t agree with you? Stein is why we got Trump in the first place.
The sub is for people who support the Green Party. But people who do not support the Green Party are showing up and downvoting everything positive (and upvoting everything negative). That’s what I mean by a brigade.
Well then maybe the Democrats should try being less crap.
That’s called participation. If you post rubbish, people will vote accordingly as you can see in this thread. If you only want people who agree with you then by all means, keep moaning and deleting posts in your sub.
“The Green Party”, except you have put stuff from the unrelated England and Wales Green Party (which I support from time to time).
Firstly, I haven’t put anything there, because I just learnt about the sub now. Secondly, the side bar says it’s for green parties around the world (but primarily focused on the Green Party USA).
Apologies, I was responding to the other person and didn’t see your username.
Stop bullying me
Thank you! Yeah, I found it suspicious when I had posts that had more downvotes than I had subscribers in the community. And it would happen with in 30 seconds of me posting to my community! lol
From here. There are people in this sub going into every single community I started and downvoting eery single post. Not just green party posts. I mean, posts that discussed the importance of Special Education teachers. Posts that discussed a 90 year old woman finally graduation from college, etc.
And if you are wondering how I would know they are being brigade, let me give you an example. I had on community with just 3 subscribers. yeah, just 3. One of my posts, had over 40 downvotes.
I’ve also had posts, in my communities with NOT subscribers, be downvoted immediately after posting. And I have gotten messages from at least 2 people in this sub, who have said they “follow” me around on Lemmy to “just keep an eye” on me.
both have been reported to admin.
And what did I do to get that attention? I mentioned that I’m voting for the Green Party.
so yes, I am being brigade for the reason you suggested: people don’t agree with me.
I’m pro-union, pro-education. And my mods supporting and advocating for that are getting massive downvotes, even tho I don’t have any subscribers in them! lololol
Oh it is. And my dm’s are crazy and scary too. lol
The other day I posted a news article about the Green Party, and holy crap! That shit storm was crazy. People are NOT happy that there are even other options out there.
If there’s at least one thing the two major parties agree on, is that they don’t wanna take a chance and losing their strangle hold on American politics by giving any 3rd party a chance. lol
But thank you for your support and saying that. I’m not going anywhere. Even if the Dems and Repubs are really really mad about it. :)
