“It shows”

“There is no evidence of Israel doing that”

screm-a

I can’t help but wonder if he deep down understands what he’s saying is a load of crap and if he’s aware that he’s just running damage control for Western Liberalism and this rotten world order it’s built for for its own sake. People will be fooled if they want to be fooled, and liberals who want to pretend that their ideology isn’t sustained by the blood of thousands of children in the global periphery will grasp at anything, no matter how weak. Especially true for streamer grift artists whose personal brand depends on it (something something “you can’t convince someone if their paycheck depends on their ignorance)

There’a no link since I just grabbed this screen, but it looks like he deleted/hid it lol

this is one of like maybe 3 guys who i think might actually be on the payroll of a state actor, because he is a fucking Video Game Guy, there is no reason he should know or care about any of that stuff, and he doesn’t even bother pretending to research or take any of it seriously.

      lol at “Video Game Guy”

It seems that some typical white dumb male is always making a career off of being “Video Game Guy” and I hate it.

Seriously, check gaming YouTube: they’re practically all white cishet male hosts. Barely any Black and Latino, for example.

I really doubt he’s an op. I think he’s just lucky that he got in the ground floor of the people yelling at each other about politics online while playing video games industry that exists for some reason. if he started streaming 3 years later, we probably wouldn’t know anything about him.

there’s a really rational explanation for his takes: he’s a wikipedia guy, he skims it, then goes along with whatever reactionary positions he holds while pretending to be a liberal. he doesn’t “know” or “care” about any of these political issues if you pay attention to what he’s saying (though I don’t blame you if you don’t want to do that since he sucks.)

i guess the part i’m struggling with is… what is the appeal to his audience? vaush i think i get, he provides a slightly esoteric, slightly edgy political identity for radlib nerdlingers to adopt as their own, and he presents it in an intellectual and authoritative tone. destiny is to me a starcraft guy who posted his dick that one time. his politics are proudly ignorant and anti-intellectual. i don’t even think he’s funny or charismatic, although he wouldn’t be the first popular streamer like that. what does the average “stan” get out of listening to the lukewarm opinions of this certified loser?

I think the appeal to stans is that he is a ‘logical’ person who is willing to debate anybody and is willing to change his mind. He is ignorant and anti-intellectual, but he does have research streams which try to give the impression that he is knowledgeable. Also his life is really chaotic so it’s like the appeal of reality TV.

Destiny presents himself as mature, cool headed, the adult in the room. No real media figure would respond to Vaush lol.

Plus Destiny had a gaming career prior and he is also present in the streamer and podcast “ecosystem” where everyone knows each other. You know how during the Vine days all the creators seemingly showed up on each other’s videos for no reason? That’s basically Destiny.

I have that issue too. I’ve tried to watch some of the debate-lord content before, and I just cannot for the life of me understand why people would go out of their way to hear these people’s opinions when they offer no relevant expertise or insights and have the personality of a dirty cat-box. When I listen to the content it’s the same shit you could get from a liberal redditor or annoying college freshman.

Okay so Destiny is a good example of “what no theory does to a mf” and not just because of shit takes like this. I remember when I’d see him plastered on reddit-logo and it would be some snippet from one of his debates and he’d constantly paint himself into a corner. A corner he would not have found himself in if he had read some fucking theory and applied it. But in true liberal fashion he’s too arrogant to admit that ignorance and address it by reading. None of this is new. You don’t have to be the one who comes up with it. An idea is not discredited because it isn’t novel or original. That’s one of the perks of being a leftist instead of an individualist liberal. We have centuries of documents that cover these topics. We have settled arguments that we can cite.

deep down, he’s a debate bro that learned about this topic, after dropping insane bad takes, by reading wikipedia articles about Palestine and isntrael live on stream. i doubt he cares enough about any brown person to actually believe in something about them one way or the other.

If the evidence is sufficient to claim China is killing every Uighur, then the evidence that Israel is doing the same is 1000x more.

    Liberals are bloodthirsty fascists

When Israeli leaders openly say they want to kill all Palestinians: “no silly you’re just fighting Hamas terrorists”

When this has never happened with a Chinese leader and Uyghurs: “China is trying to ELIMINATE Uyghurs and it shows (don’t ask me to elaborate)”

Destiny didn’t delete the tweet. He has like 10 tweets afterward where he’s defending his statements that Israel isn’t committing genocide. He uses many of the usual Zionist lines but also he says that when Israel is killing Palestinian civilians that they are simply doing war and that it doesn’t count as genocide. Very heinous things to say.

Destiny is a debate-pervert. He says shocking things for attention so that people will argue with him. I want to say that it’s best to just ignore him because what he wants is attention, but his recent rise in popularity in mainstream media tells me that ignoring him isn’t working anymore. He recently did a collaboration with Ben Shapiro. Destiny knows that being a Zionist is growing his popularity in the mainstream.

In the screenshot of the OP, he’s arguing with Medhi Hasan who is an established mainstream journalist for MSNBC. Destiny has mainstream journalists replying to him on twitter.

The other thing that comes to mind is that he was on Lex Fridman’s podcast with Ben Shapiro. Lex Fridman is like techbro Joe Rogan. Ben Shapiro is one of the biggest media figures in right wing media

His fans call him a social democrat, which is 100% true in the third period comintern sense. He is a fascist who has said outright he supports lynchings to suppress the BLM movement.

I had some friends who watch Destiny, they aren’t friends anymore because they have become so fucking annoying.

Destiny and his fans are just toxic, empty shells with no morals or beliefs. They are people who earnestly believe Ben Shapiro or any spreadsheet.

I don’t know guys but this guy also wrote like a 10k words essay as to why saying the N word is ok. We shouldn’t look in his direction of anything and in a just world he would get the wall.
